Cortez, Pet Therapist
It does have a somewhat superhero sound to it.
The North Wind has stopped blowing after bringing a month of cold arctic air to my territories. The Woman is no longer neurotic from this intense ill-wind, and for the first time in a long while, took me for a decent walk yesterday. I was most pleased. It felt good to stretch my legs in the warmer temperatures and feel the sun on my face. I smell good things in the air.
Today, I start classes once more. See, the other day, The Woman heard that a test was being given to dogs who had completed a pet therapy class. Well, given my natural intelligence and ability to perform under pressure, she decided to have me take the test without any prior preparation.
And, of course, I passed. I even got high marks for "no food aggression." What the tester did not understand was that the treats he dropped on the ground were unworthy of my palate. Now, if it had been cottage cheese . . .
So now we work backwards. I take the class even though I passed the test. I am already certified but need to get the subtle details of proper performance under stressful situations.
Like I ever feel stressed.
I Am Shiba. I Am A Furry Einstein.
